I’m Brad Alexander and, on behalf of Valutrades, today we will take a look at Natural Gas (NatGas), Brent Crude (UKOil), EURUSD, GBPUSD, and AUDUSD.

USD is still maintaining its strength with markets expecting more Interest Rate rises from the US Federal Reserve.Screenshot 2022-05-02 at 11.08.58

Let’s go straight to this week’s economic calendar and we see that Wednesday is the big day as we expect US Interest Rates to double to 1%.Screenshot 2022-05-02 at 11.34.37

Also, the following FOMC press conference will give investors some clues as to the next steps in bond purchase tapering and Interest Rate rises.

Also, we have Interest Rate decisions from Australia tomorrow. And the Bank of England Thursday.

Again, press conferences by Central Bank governors are quite important and we will see them this Wednesday from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

Also, Christine Lagarde of the European Central Bank will let us know about future plans so expect EUR volatility.

Of course, this week we have the US Non-Farm Payrolls which affects almost everything.Screenshot 2022-05-02 at 11.34.48

The price of Crude Oil has fallen based on lower demand from China as COVID lockdowns continue.Screenshot 2022-05-02 at 11.34.59

However, watch for volatility this week in Brent Crude and Natural Gas as the European Union need to make some decisions about the importation of oil and gas from Russia.
